Hennessey Arabians welcomed hundreds and hundreds of Arabian horse lovers to the farm Wednesday, November 13th in what is being hailed as one of the most positive Arabian horse outreach events of the year.
A wonderful evening spent with friends sharing the joy the Arabian horse brings to each one of our lives – guests were treated to a fabulous dinner, a token gift bag filled with goodies and Arabian horse information, as well, the night capped off with not only a riding presentation, in an array of disciplines, by children showing the kindness and gentleness of the Arabian horse – but also a tasteful presentation of some of the farm’s best mares at liberty to showcase Hennessey Arabians.
Visitors were able to see and touch the Hennessey Arabian horses, have their photos taken, and feed carrots to these amazing animals that is the Arabian horse.
Thank you to all our visitors for joining us on this special evening, it was for sure an evening to remember!

I wanted to give you an update on Marcy, the absolute love of our life!! We couldn’t be happier with her!!
We bought Marcy from you in 2016 and we just adore her!! She has grown into an absolutely beautiful mare with such a sweet temperament. Since buying her, I had wanted to compete in endurance, but the only problem with Marcy is that she’s quite accident prone…..so some freak/silly accidents has delayed us (like getting tangled in her blankets after getting her front shoe caught in her tail (yes, really, front shoe in TAIL), cutting open her entire front leg on a holiday weekend but thankfully missing joints!!)….but last weekend we finally succeeded!!
Marcy successfully completed her first 25mile ride (we were 11th overall and ride time 3hrs 50mins). She did incredibly well! We are so so proud of her and she absolutely loved it!! We had so many comment on how beautiful she is, where she was bred, and her breeding.
Please find attached some pictures for you. We are planning on having a photographer come soon to take some more pictures of our horses, so I can send along more later.
We hope to do more 25mile rides this year, and all going well, a 50mile at the end of the year.

The members of Hennessey Arabians are deeply saddened by the passing of their Queen of the herd, *Pepesza.
PEPESZA was one of the most irresistibly beautiful and elegant daughters of Eukaliptus. She represented the legendary “P” line, tracing back to PIEWICA through her grand dam PENTODA. PENTODA produced ten superlative foals, all of which became either a champion themselves or the sire/dam of international achievers. She was purchased in the PRIDE OF POLAND sale of 2006 by Frank and Carol Hennessey under the careful guidance of George Z. They were thrilled to have her not only on U.S. soil, but at their home in Florida.
In 2015 team Hennessey was beaming with pride over the outcome of the Pride of Poland Auction where Pepesza’s daughter, Pepita sold for an astounding 1.4 MILLION Euro. Pepita was the 2014 Polish National Champion Mare, All Nations Cup and European Silver Champion Mare (among many other titles). She is sired by Ekstern and out of our treasured, *PEPESZA.
Pepita’s portrait, masterfully shot by Stuart Vesty adorned the cover of the 2015 Pride of Poland Sale Catalogue. The cover of the 2006 Pride of Poland Sale Catalogue was a photo of *PEPESZA, also beautifully captured by Stuart Vesty.
An embryo right to *PEPESZA was offered in the highly successful 2015 IntArah Dream Embryo Auction in Las Vegas. The winning bidders were our friends, Mark Davis and Cindy McGown of Royal Arabians.

Hennessey Arabians says a sorrowful goodbye to a marvellous mare… Sweet Shalimar V – May 13, 1990 – May 6, 2018.
“Shalimar” was bred and formerly owned by Sheila Varian. Her quality and style was typical of the Varian program. She was sired by the incomparable Ali Jamaal and out of the famous Huckleberry Bey daughter, Sweetinspiration V. Shalimar was the dam of multiple successful foals including the Western Pleasure sensation, Sundance Kid V.
Sweet Shalimar and her best friend of 10 years, Pepesza lived in the HennesseyLand geriatric pasture together. On My 13th, when we knew it was time to let Shalimar go, Pepesza roamed the pasture as the last mare standing in the senior/retired division of Hennessey Arabians, desperately searching for her friend. We put our beloved miniature donkeys, Nancy G and Coco Chanel in the pasture with Pepesza to keep her company. It was sad goodbye for us all.
We will be forever grateful to the days, months and years that we were able to provide a loving home to this wonderful mare.

Hennessey Arabians is proud to have two Hennessey bred mares available for purchase in Poland. H Patricia H and H Embition H are headed to the race track for training. Racing in Poland begins each year at the start of April, finishing in November, and they run on turf. The winners of classic races are often from families that, for generations, have marked their influence on racing performance and have passed on to their descendants the genetic qualities inherited from their ancestors.
