The members of Hennessey Arabians are deeply saddened by the passing of their Queen of the herd, *Pepesza.
PEPESZA was one of the most irresistibly beautiful and elegant daughters of Eukaliptus. She represented the legendary “P” line, tracing back to PIEWICA through her grand dam PENTODA. PENTODA produced ten superlative foals, all of which became either a champion themselves or the sire/dam of international achievers. She was purchased in the PRIDE OF POLAND sale of 2006 by Frank and Carol Hennessey under the careful guidance of George Z. They were thrilled to have her not only on U.S. soil, but at their home in Florida.
In 2015 team Hennessey was beaming with pride over the outcome of the Pride of Poland Auction where Pepesza’s daughter, Pepita sold for an astounding 1.4 MILLION Euro. Pepita was the 2014 Polish National Champion Mare, All Nations Cup and European Silver Champion Mare (among many other titles). She is sired by Ekstern and out of our treasured, *PEPESZA.
Pepita’s portrait, masterfully shot by Stuart Vesty adorned the cover of the 2015 Pride of Poland Sale Catalogue. The cover of the 2006 Pride of Poland Sale Catalogue was a photo of *PEPESZA, also beautifully captured by Stuart Vesty.
An embryo right to *PEPESZA was offered in the highly successful 2015 IntArah Dream Embryo Auction in Las Vegas. The winning bidders were our friends, Mark Davis and Cindy McGown of Royal Arabians.

Hennessey Arabians says a sorrowful goodbye to a marvellous mare… Sweet Shalimar V – May 13, 1990 – May 6, 2018.
“Shalimar” was bred and formerly owned by Sheila Varian. Her quality and style was typical of the Varian program. She was sired by the incomparable Ali Jamaal and out of the famous Huckleberry Bey daughter, Sweetinspiration V. Shalimar was the dam of multiple successful foals including the Western Pleasure sensation, Sundance Kid V.
Sweet Shalimar and her best friend of 10 years, Pepesza lived in the HennesseyLand geriatric pasture together. On My 13th, when we knew it was time to let Shalimar go, Pepesza roamed the pasture as the last mare standing in the senior/retired division of Hennessey Arabians, desperately searching for her friend. We put our beloved miniature donkeys, Nancy G and Coco Chanel in the pasture with Pepesza to keep her company. It was sad goodbye for us all.
We will be forever grateful to the days, months and years that we were able to provide a loving home to this wonderful mare.

Hennessey Arabians is proud to have two Hennessey bred mares available for purchase in Poland. H Patricia H and H Embition H are headed to the race track for training. Racing in Poland begins each year at the start of April, finishing in November, and they run on turf. The winners of classic races are often from families that, for generations, have marked their influence on racing performance and have passed on to their descendants the genetic qualities inherited from their ancestors. It is for this reason that we consider it an honor to have these illustrious daughters of HennesseyLand making history in Poland.
We are thrilled to announce the sale of 2 Hennessey bred colts to Sylvia Zerbini, former Cavalia Star and Trainer in Williston Florida at her Grande Liberté Farm. Internationally acclaimed Sylvia Zerbini demonstrates her amazing communication and partnering with up to 16 horses in her mesmerizing Grande Liberté performances. Witness her herd of Stallions and Geldings working together to create the quintessential Equestrian Ballet experience. Sylvia transforms Liberty into the ultimate equestrian performing art and will be training Hennessey bred, H Abacus H and Cir Lawrence. We are very proud and look forward to following their future success!
Despite the sudden drop in temperature bringing bitter cold weather to the magical kingdom, the HennesseyLand cast of characters hosted a successful seminar Introducing newcomers (and a few old timers) to the wonderful world of the Arabian Horse.

Hennessey Arabians’ level of commitment to the Arabian horse is no secret to the community as a whole, but for those who have come to know Frank Hennessey and farm manager, George Z, commitment takes on a whole new meaning. Everything they do is evidence that they exist to nurture, cultivate, honor, respect and share their infectious love for the Arabian horse with the world.
Since 2007, the 93-acre farm in Ocala, Fla., has been evolving into a haven where the Arabian mares of the farm, along with their foals, dictate the environment in which they live. They work tirelessly to fulfill their mantra, “A Horse for Every Home – A Home for Every Horse”. Their mission is to provide the world with the highest quality Arabian horses available anywhere in the world today, at any level a horse enthusiast wishes to be involved. “We never believed the Arabian horse could make such a difference in our lives, but it has. Of all our commitments, nothing provides us with more pleasure than being on the farm,” shares Frank. “Because they give us so much in return, it is impossible for us to contain our enthusiasm.” As a result, they maintain an open door policy and allow visitors from all over the world to come and discover what has so beautifully changed their lives.
Their passion for breeding quality has led them to great success, especially in Region 12, their home region. 2016 
marked the second year in a row that Hennessey Arabians was awarded the coveted Spotlight Breeder of Distinction. This award is a special honor for breeders as it is calculated by the success and accomplishments of the horses a given breeder has produced, rather than by ‘popular’ vote, as in many other award programs within the breed. The horses that have competed in the Region 12 Spotlight program include both halter and performance horses. Hennessey-bred Spotlight Futurity Champions include (to name a few):
These represent a small percentage of the number of horses that have successfully competed in nearly every division of the Spotlight Futurity over the years. The Hennessey Spotlight success begins with the quality horses bred by Hennessey Arabians, and is supported by a team that works overtime to ensure its success. From the early days of halter breaking by farm workers Jose and Adela, to the more advanced training and conditioning at Wilson Training Center, both in-hand by Mike Wilson and under saddle by Peri Wilson, Hennessey-bred horses are nurtured and transformed into champions that the entire team is proud to represent.
Hennessey Arabians also strives to support the success
of their friends, colleagues and new owners of Hennessey-bred horses. They encourage and offer valued friendship to all they come in contact with. Over the years, George Z has become famous for his ability to entertain and host fantastic gatherings. His crab cakes are coveted year round by all who have been lucky enough to enjoy them.
Though Hennessey Arabians is home to primarily broodmares and their foals, two stallions currently owned are H Mobility H and Jaipur El Perseus. H Mobility H has been everything they hoped he would be for the show and breeding program. Mo’s performance titles began in 2009 when he was named U.S. National Reserve Champion English Pleasure Futurity horse. Over the past four years, he has been named Regional and Scottsdale Unanimous Champion English Pleasure multiple times. As quoted by Dr. Jim Alderson DVM, Director of W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center at Cal Poly Pomona, “H Mobility H has been incredibly consistent in producing top quality foals for us. He passes on the exact traits needed to produce outstanding English type horses. The foals we have by him are beautiful, athletic, have long upright necks, and tons of trot!” Mo stands at Trowbridge’s Ltd. under the nurturing care of Mary Trowbridge.
The program is celebrating tremendous success with Jaipur el Perseus as well, especially in the international circuit. Jaipur’s sire, Perseus el Jamaal is the super sire and son of three-time national champion and legendary Ali Jamaal. Jaipur is the most look-a-like son of his mother, known as the queen of Brazil, Jullye el Ludjin. His priceless genotype and extravagant phenotype, has made him the perfect choice to add exotic beauty and extreme type to today’s show ring. Jaipur has produced multiple halter champions both in the U.S. and abroad. He currently stands at Christine Jamar’s, Jadem Arabians in Belgium.

On Sept 18th, 2015 Frank was invited to speak to a group of Florida tourists about the History of the Arabian Horse.
“The Arabian horse is a breed of horse that originated on the Arabian Peninsula. With a distinctive head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily recognizable horse breeds in the world. It is also one of the oldest breeds, with archaeological evidence of horses in the Middle East that resemble modern Arabians dating back 4,500 years. The Arabian is a versatile breed. Arabians dominate the discipline of endurance riding, and compete today in many other fields of equestrian activity. They are one of the top ten most popular horse breeds in the world. Arabians are one of the smartest, most docile, talented and remarkable horse breeds. They are also one of the most misunderstood.”
Frank Hennessey offered a power point presentation to help newcomers have a better understanding of the history of the Arabian horse while sharing his own personal connection to them.
Karen Grimes, owner of Farm Tours of Ocala took visitors behind the scenes of the beautiful 90 + acre farm caring for Arabian horses. Hennessy Arabians presented their finest horses, explained their bloodlines and answered questions. This elite facility makes the farm a true horse paradise, which includes four horse barns, foaling areas equipped with round-the-clock video and audio monitoring, twelve pastures ranging in size from one to ten acres and a herd of extremely beautiful, prestigiously bred and genuinely happy mares and foals. Visitors were able to get up close and personal with the horses and the professionals caring for them.
The Ocala Farm Tour raised over $500 at this event for the Arabian Horseman’s Distress Fund.
Hennessey Arabians extends it’s most sincere congratulations to the Polish State Studs for their outstanding results at the 2015 Pride of Poland Auction.
It would be a gross understatement to say that the we were especially ‘proud’ of the outcome of Pepita’s involvement in the Auction. Pepita is the reigning Polish National Champion Mare, All Nations Cup and European Silver Champion Mare (among many other titles). She is sired by Ekstern and out of our treasured, *PEPESZA. Pepita sold at the 2015 Pride of Poland Auction for 1.4 MILLION Euro.
Hennessey Arabians purchased and imported *PEPESZA in 2006 under the expert advice of Mr. George Z. She is treated like royalty at the farm and is admired by our visitors on a regular basis.
Pepita’s portrait, masterfully shot by Stuart Vesty adorns the cover of the 2015 Pride of Poland Sale Catalogue. The cover of the 2006 Pride of Poland Sale Catalogue was a photo of *PEPESZA, also beautifully captured by Stuart Vesty.An embryo right to *PEPESZA was offered in the highly successful 2015 IntArah Dream Embryo Auction in Las Vegas. The winning bidders were our friends, Mark Davis and Cindy McGown of Royal Arabians.

In Loving Memory of Tulle el Jamaal

This past Sunday morning Hennessey Arabians had to say goodbye to their cherished friend, Tulle El Jamaal. Tulle was the accomplished daughter of *Ali Jamaal and was known and admired in the Arabian community. Her substance, quality and elegance garnered several championship titles including multiple US National titles in both open and amateur breeding championships.
The most cherished of her show ring experiences was with her owner and friend, Frank Hennessey. At 19 years young, Tulle entered the arena with the charisma of a yearling while gracefully caring for her young, first-time handler for his show ring debut. She gently guided Frank through the class as if she fully understood the importance of her role as his teacher. Frank and Tulle received the blue ribbon in the Open Mare Halter class at the 2010 Ocala Thanksgiving Show. The memorable moment of Franks introduction to showing horses will be cherished by us all for years to come.
After the birth of her 7th foal in 2009, vet’s feared Tulle would not be able to produce another foal. Understanding that there was no health risk to Tulle, Frank vowed to prove the vet’s wrong. He was determined to find a way to keep her valuable bloodlines in the Hennessey breeding program. For several months, George and Frank educated themselves on every possible remedy and breeding option available. Their patience and determination led to the birth of a gorgeous filly sired by Jaipur el Perseus in 2015.
H Tulle H is a living celebration of the Tulle legacy. Her birth has ensured a brighter future for Hennessey-bred horses and has made it possible for Hennessey Arabians to Continue the Legacy by Celebrating the Future…

The importance of introducing the Arabian horse to the general public is something Mike and Peri Wilson of Wilson Training and Bloodstock are keenly aware of. They chose a beautiful weekend at their new farm in Sorrento, Florida to invite friends, clients, family and the local community to their First Annual Arabian Horse Days at Wilson Training Center. The event was held on Saturday and Sunday, March 7th and 8th, 2015.
Saturdays festivities included a presentation of an outstanding group of halter horses, brood mares, performance horses, fantastic foals and some of the Arabian communities most beautiful Arabian Stallions. A wonderful dinner, decadent deserts and a beautiful atmosphere of camaraderie followed the presentation.
On Sunday, the local community was welcomed to the farm to see, touch, feel and learn about Arabian horses up close and personal. Activities throughout the event included, a discussion on the History of the Arabian Horse; The Oldest Breed in the World, Meet a Mare and Foal, Meet a Show Horse, Riding/ lesson demonstrations and question and answers with the trainers, Mike and Peri Wilson.
Mike and Peri and their very dedicated staff gave visitors an opportunity to experience the horses first hand. Families, retired couples and young entrepreneurs experienced the beauty of the Arabian horse and gathered memories they will not soon forget.
Thank you Mike and Peri for offering this event, sharing your time, your beautiful farm and your fantastic group of horses with all of us. Your dedication to the Arabian horse and those that love them is truly commendable.
